Our STAFF
Mrs. Geraldine Gillispie has been appointed as the school’s first president emeritus. She is a retired school teacher who has been a cosmetology instructor for over 30 years. Mrs. Gillispie will be in charge of the salon and will also serve as cosmetology instructor.
Mark LaMarr has been in the barber business for more than 30 years. He has been a licensed instructor for two years. He attended Brock's School of Hair and Design (later became Moore's New World School of Hair and Design). Mark received his instructor's license from Dynasty College of Cosmetology & Barberology. He owns two barber shops (Respect for Life) in Tupelo, Ms. He is the barber instructor and Director of the Barberology department at Dynasty College of Cosmetology & Barberology.
Ciara Bramlett is employed as the Financial & Administrative Assistant of Dynasty College. She has experience in office management and administrative duties. Ciara has been married to her husband Jeremy for seven years and they have one beautiful daughter.
Elishia Clanton received her cosmetology license in 1995, She has been part of the beauty industry for the past 28 years. She is the owner of With These Hands Salon located in Tupelo, Ms. For the past 16 years, she has worked hard to build her business into a successful career. Elishia received her instructors license in 2016 from Tupelo Academy of Cosmetology. She is currently the Cosmetology Director/ Instructor at Dynasty College. In 2022, Elishia received her clinical degree from the Trichology School of Business located in Augusta, Ga. She opened The Follicle Speaks Hair Restoration Clinic in 2021, where she treats men and women struggling with hair loss or scalp conditions.
Shelley R. Harsin is a veteran leader in the beauty industry with more than 40 years of experience in education and professional practice. Based in Saltillo, Lee County, she is a dually qualified Cosmetology and Barbering instructor with a vast teaching portfolio that includes Esthetics, Manicuring, wig/extension application, and advanced haircutting. A cornerstone of her local professional community, Shelley has been a successful salon owner for 35 years. Her extensive record of service includes leadership roles in key industry organizations such as the Mississippi Cosmetology School Association (MCSA), the Mississippi Cosmetology Association (MCA), and the Mississippi Educators of Cosmetology (MEC). Shelley previously brought her expertise to the state regulatory level, serving as a member of the Mississippi State Board of Cosmetology from 2011 to 2015. Today, as a Historian for the Mississippi Cosmetology and Barbering Association (MCBA), she continues to advocate for
excellence in beauty education and professional standards throughout the state.
Teresa "Kay" Whitman has been a cosmetologist for 26 years and a cosmetology instructor for 13 years. She has been a salon owner for 21 years. Also, Kay has served on the State Board of Cosmetology as President and Vice President. She has her B.S. in Cybersecurity in computer forensics and vulnerability management from Norwich University, Northfield, VT. She currently holds the position as Administrative Director/ Nail Technician Director here at Dynasty College. She is a member of the MS Cosmetology & Barbering Association (MSCBA) and MS Esthetics Association.
Mr. Mayfield obtained his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School at the age of 22 and began practicing law in Tupelo, MS in 1974. In addition to practicing law, Mr. Mayfield has invested in commercial properties located in downtown Tupelo including the Dynasty Complex which consists of over 30,000 sq. ft. Mr. Mayfield also owns businesses located in the complex which include Dynasty Furniture USA, Dynasty Money Center, Discount Rental USA and most recently Dynasty College of Cosmetology and Barberology where Mr. Mayfield serves as President & CEO.
In total, our Dynasty College staff has over 100 years of experience teaching and instructing cosmetology students.
